Fashion Platform was built to provide a Social Network Utility site dedicated to getting new designs, talents profiles out to the fashion market. This enables members to share their designs and profiles with industry professionals and Members around the world. We give you the flexibility to control your designs and/or profile allowing you to choose what other people see and say about your designs and profile, as we feel that allowing you to control your space enables better coercion between members and therefore a better community.

At Fashion Platform we have principles too
1. You should have control over you designs and profiles Fashion platform helps to share your designs with other members whether they are from the same school, college, university, town, country. You choose the information and pictures you put onto your profile, including the design of your shop front, should you choose to sell your designs. You control your friends and the comments on Your Column and notifications you receive.
2. You have access to the designs and profiles that other people want to share, as a Member you will have access to thousands of profiles and designs that you may want to “Nudge” if you want to show an interest.
Fashion platform is there to aid your access to the fashion market as much as possible therefore we will leave the content for you, the members to create. As this is the people’s site we are always open to suggestions as to what you want to see on there and how to make the site more useful for you and other members. The Information we collect and share
When visiting Fashion Platform you will provide us with personal information to aid interaction on the website.
Registering with Fashion Platform require you to provide the following information age, address, email address, your gender, your body statistics (for models only).
When all users enter the Neighbourhood we will collect your IP address. In addition we may store “cookies” which enable us to confirm the identity of the user that is logged in, these cookies terminate upon closing the browser.
By default we may use a persistent cookie that stores your login, except for the password to make it easier to login to the Neighbourhood when you return to Fashion Platform. You have the option to block or remove the cookies using your setting in your browser should you want to disable this convenient feature.
Whilst in the Fashion Platform neighbourhood you can form friendship, show an interest in designs and models, send messages, perform searches and queries, transmit information via various channels. This information may be collected in order for us to analyse the activity of the users and ensure security via our Neighbourhood Watch. Fashion Platform may also use this information to provide additional feature that may benefit the functionality of the website and aid in the community coercion. We have it so that you can easily see your friends’ lists, and have the ability to delete an unwanted message should you find it tarnishes your profile, we usually keep back-ups for a reasonable period of time, therefore if information is lost the back-up version can be retrieved.
You, the user post content (as defined by the
Fashion Platform Terms of Use) on the site at your own risk. Please note that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. Fashion Platform has no control over other users with whom you may choose to share your pages, designs, and profiles. Therefore we cannot, and do not guarantee that User content you post on the Site will not be viewed by unauthorised persons. We are not responsible for circumventions of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the site. You understand and acknowledge that even after removal, copies of user content may remain viewable in cached and archived pages or if other users copied and paste or stored your User Content.
Any improper use of the Fashion Platform Neighbourhood such as data or information misuse is a violation of the Fashion Platform Terms and Conditions and should be reported to

In order for the Neighbourhood to grow we do ask for a friends email address, if you choose to use the invitation service, you are required to give your friends email address. We will automatically send them an email which will inform them that you have invited them to join the Fashion Platform Neighbourhood. Fashion Platform stores this information and will use it to track the referral process. Anyone that has been invited has the options to click
here to request removal of the information from our database.
Fashion Platform may also collect information about you from other sources, such as newspapers, blogs, instant messaging services and other users.
By using Fashion Platform you are consenting to your personal information to be transferred between the group of companies in the UK, USA, EU, AUS, and JAP.
Children under age 13
Fashion Platform will not allow children under the age of 13 to register as a registered user. We will have tots models profiled on the website with parents consent which will be required upon registering your child. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under 13 years of age without parental confirmation. If you are under the age of 13, please do not register with Fashion Platform, do not attempt to send personal information such as email address, name, address, you must ask your parents to register as the user detailing their child’s profile, therefore all communication is made between the child’s parent and the Scout or other Members. In the event we should find we have collected information direct from a child under age 13 without parental consent, we will delete the information as quickly as possible. Children between the age of 13 and 16
We recommend that minors between the ages of 13 to 16 ask their parents permission before sending any information about themselves to anyone over the internet.
Use of information
Fashion Platform may use your name and email address to send you notification of new and or existing services.
The content you submit to Fashion Platform will be available to all the users of Fashion Platform.
Your name, pictures and profile will be available across the network and that information may be available to third party search engines. This so that industry professionals and other members can send a Scouted Badge or Friend request. People who see your name in searches will not be able to contact you unless they have a relationship with you (friend, friend of friend, industry professionals).
Fashion Platform will send you service related emails, including news updates from time to time. For example if a Friend sends you a message or Nudge you may receive an alert email.
You may have the option to opt out of that option, however Fashion Platform reserves the right to send you notices about your account, even if you opt out of all voluntary email notification.
Fashion Platform may use the information on the site about you for third party purposes, this is done to analyse what your preferences are for movie types, music etc for direct advertising purposes. This benefits you, so that your fashion Neighbourhood has not got promotions that you may not want to see. The way it works is that if you like a particular brand we may tell you about a supplier giving discounts, but we will never tell the supplier who you are.
Fashion Platform shares your information with other users, whilst maintaining your privacy as requested. We allow you to choose the information you provide to friends and other networks. We will not provide your information to third part marketers without your consent. We may share you information with third parties where we believe such sharing is reasonably required, necessary for the service, legally required and/ or permitted by you. E.g. news feeds, services we offer, email updates about the service, legal requirements, online stores.
All information that is shared with your Friends, or networks are done at your own risk. Please note that if you disclose personal information on your profile or when posting comments, messages, photos, this information may become publicly available.
Fashion Platform may contain links to other website – we are not responsible for privacy practices of other websites. This privacy policy is the particulars of Fashion Platform ONLY.
Third parties may advertise on Fashion Platform these may be delivered directly to users by third parties, in which case they automatically receive your email address. The third party advertisers may also download cookies to your IP address to measure the effectiveness of the advertising, doing this allows advertisers to gauge their campaigns by doing analysis of the clicks-through and returns. The advertisers have not got access to your contact details stored on Fashion Platform unless you agree otherwise.
This privacy policy covers the use of cookies by Fashion Platform and not of that by other websites and advertisers trackers.
Changing information
You have the option to change personal information via the edit profile tool. Fashion Platform Members can readily edit information, which will be immediately updated. Fashion Platform reserves the right to edit or block information it feels is not suitable on the website. Individuals can opt to deactivate their accounts on Fashion Platform through My Profile page. Removed information may persist in back-up or archived copies, but will not generally be available to users.
Unless you are the author of the communication or the receiver you will not be able to erase any communication (e.g. comments on The Column)
Security
Fashion Platform takes reasonable precaution to protect user’s information. Your account is located on a secured server. When you enter sensitive data, such as credit cards details, we encrypt the information, however using your email is not secure, therefore we ask that you refrain from sending sensitive data via this method. Revisions and notices
The use of Fashion Platform and any disputes arising from it is subject to this Privacy Policy and the
Terms and Conditions of Use and all of its dispute resolution provisions including arbitration, limitation on damages and choice of law. We reserve the right to change our Privacy Policy and our
Terms and Conditions of Use at any time. Non-material changes and clarifications will take effect immediately, and material changes will take effect within 30 days of posting it on the website. If we make changes we will endeavour to post them immediately and inform you of the latest date of change.
